Believe it or not, less than 4% of federal funding for cancer research in the United States is directed towards pediatric cancers. The major breakthroughs in childhood cancer treatments have come because of private funding of generous people like you through non-profit organizations like Enzo & Me.
80% of pediatric cancers have already begun to spread or metastasize at the time they are diagnosed! This can negatively affect prognosis in many childhood cancers. This is why we believe further education for primary care pediatricians is so important. We need better awareness!
