ENZO's STORY

The Enzo & Me Pediatric Cancer Foundation was founded by Krista and Danny Keller following the horrifying diagnosis of Burkitt Lymphoma in their 4 year-old son Enzo. The diagnosis was filled with numerous misdiagnoses and physicians telling the family “there’s nothing serious going on” despite their repeated questioning and concern. For months no tests were run, no imaging was performed, and no deeper investigation was sought out. It was only after his mother, Krista, felt strongly that her intuition was correct and the parents decided to bring Enzo to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland that a thorough examination was performed and an accurate diagnosis was discovered. Thankfully, the team at UCSF was able to begin treatment immediately, saving Enzo’s life. However, it became undeniably apparent to Krista and Danny that there was too little funding for pediatric cancer and too little knowledge of the need for quick diagnosis and treatment in the non- oncological pediatric medical community.

Enzo & Me believes strongly that no child or family should have to endure the pain and suffering associated with a diagnosis of pediatric cancer, and that not one child should have a misdiagnosis that leads to a worse prognosis or delay in treatment! Our mission is to raise funds to directly support high level research to develop better treatments and cures for all pediatric cancers and to improve awareness and early detection.

It is because of people like you that there is hope for children of all ages with all types of cancer diagnoses. We do this to honor those who have fought, those who are fighting, and those who will fight this terrible disease.

Thank you for your support!
